To empower local and global communities by helping to meet the needs of marginalized folks who need our solidarity the most through community based initiatives and collaborations with the art of henna.
We do this by harnessing the beauty, wisdom, and tradition of henna as a source of strength, creativity, and belonging. Through artistry and education, we create opportunities for healing, self-expression, and economic growth—especially for women and youth in marginalized communities. Our work is rooted in ancestral wisdom & culture, guided by compassion, and driven by the belief that art is liberation.
Divinart Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization in Quebec which uses proceeds raised through art to help underserved local and global communities. We are rooted in collective, anti-oppressive, inclusive, and non-hierarchical values and model.
Our main focus is is to empower marginalized South Asian women who are often overlooked, discriminated, and need financial assistance to support their families and livelihoods. We do this by directly training them as henna artists so they can be employed under our organization. We aim to re-envision socio-economic growth by directly reinvesting financial capacities into communities who need our solidarity the most.
We provide henna services and custom handmade crafts as our primary funding. Check out our Impact page to see some of the work we’ve done with the funds we’ve raised thus far.
